ABOUT THE MARITIME LAW DESKBOOK

The Maritime Law Deskbook, 2016 Edition (9th Edition), is the definitive compendium of American Maritime Law relied on since 1988 by courts, attorneys, marine businesses and marine insurers around the world.  It identifies and discusses over 3800 discrete legal topics, plus many corollary topics and conflicting resolutions, and provides citations to more than 20,000 federal and state court decisions and statutes that address those topics in its 745 pages.  Many of these issues arise in actual practical settings and are not identified or discussed in academic texts.

The fully-expanded Table of Contents (over 3000 topics) and comprehensive index (over 3500 entries) provide guidance to efficiently identify legal issues and locate the authorities that provide their answers.

The Maritime Law Deskbook is supplemented annually to maintain its currency as to added issues and new case and statutory authority to this constantly evolving body of law.
